Transportation Initiatives
Salem residents make a variety of transportation choices and the city has a solid foundation on which to build a truly multimodal system. However, there is uneven access to mobility options that promote sustainability, personal health, and collective wellbeing.
Salem continues to work to improve non-automobile options that make these choices easier for everyone, and to relieve the strain of traffic congestion that upsets many residents.
